Williams honored with the Frank G. Brewer Memorial Aerospace Award in the Lifetime Achievement Category

On behalf of Colonel Denese Helgeland and Wisconsin Wing – Civil Air Patrol please help us in congratulating Lieutenant Colonel Sherwood J. Williams, who has been selected as the 2018 winner of the Frank G. Brewer Memorial Aerospace Award in the Lifetime Achievement Category.

Brewer awards serve as a memorial to Mr. Frank G. Brewer, Sr. and his lifelong interest in aviation, youth, and education. Recognition is given to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions, out of selfless devotion, to the advancement of youth in aerospace activities. Nominees are evaluated on CAP program support, significance of accomplishment, community involvement, and support of all facets of the aerospace education mission.

Lt Col Williams has been an active member of Civil Air Patrol since 1999.  Williams has been an active pilot and mentor, participating with Model Aircraft Remote Control Academy (MARC) multiple years, and holding various duty positions within the 248th Tac Air Flight – Shawano Senior Squadron and Wisconsin Wing.  His dedication and volunteer service to Wisconsin Wing and the Civil Air Patrol missions warrant such an honorable award.
