Civil Air Patrol

Position Vacancies

Wing Director of Personnel/Administration

Wisconsin Wing is seeking a member to assume the duties of Personnel and Administration. Because of the continuing digitization of Civil Air Patrol we feel Administration can be rolled into Personnel with minimal disruption.

Job Description

The majority of the work is focused around both the “end of the year” awards and the Wing Conference. Otherwise duties entail coordinating both wing level promotion and award boards as needed. The administrative officer functions involve publishing administrative authorizations and coordinating the updating of wing supplements.  The Wing Directory will continue to be taken care of by Lt Col Cheryl Carroll.

**The member selected will stay assigned to their local squadron and will not transfer to Wing**

Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have

–       Senior rating in Personnel and technician rating in Administration.

–       Member of CAP for at least 5 years.

–       Served as Personnel Officer at either a large squadron or the Group level.

–       Completed Corporate Learning Course (CLC).

–       Be the grade of Captain or higher.

This position is ideal for a detail orientated member seeking a broader understanding of how CAP functions above squadron level. While the qualifications are ideal we are willing to train the right motivated member. We are looking for someone to start job training right away and will slowly assume more responsibilities as training continues.

Application Process:

Members interested for consideration are to email Lt Col Kreitz with a statement of interest. This statement needs to highlight what you have accomplished that will aid in your success as Wing Director of Personnel/Administration. Please have your statements submitted by 31 October 2015 for consideration.

Lt Col Kreitz can be reached at Kreitz.richard@gmail.com or 920-205-8163.
