Eau Claire Composite Squadron has Multiple Opportunities to Learn
The Eau Claire Composite Squadron has had an exciting June, participating in fundraising events, guest speakers, and Cadets participating in National Cadet Special Activities!
The unit participated in the Menomonie Airfest and Autorama! Members served food and drinks, helped park cars, shared Civil Air Patrol with the community and showed off the CAP aircraft, which was on static display! This was a great event that our Squadron was able to share with our friends and the community and a great time was had by all.
June also was the beginning of many National Cadet Special Activities (NCSAs). Eau Claire Composite Squadron has multiple Cadets that have attended NCSAs or will be attending them throughout the summer. NCSAs are a great experience for our Cadets and offer them the opportunity to learn and grow outside of our Squadron meetings.
Cadet Captain Casey Owen attended the Air Force Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training located at Laughlin Air Force Base in TX. C/Captain Owen will also be attending National Blue Beret in support of EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, WI, along with Cadet Chief Master Sergeant David Chiles.
Cadet First Lieutenant Annika Walukas was able to participate in the Air Force Space Familiarization Course at Patrick Air Force Base. She was also able to receive her solo wings while attending the National Flight Academy – North Central Region Powered Flight Academy.
Cadet Chief Master Sergeant Sophie Kuehn also particpated in a National Flight Academy, held in Oshkosh, WI were she was able to receive her pre-solo wings.
Eau Claire also has two Cadets attending Cyber Defense Training Academy in August; Cadet Senior Master Sergeant Chris Ofelt and Cadet Staff Sergeant Corey Miller Jr.
