Cadet First Lieutenant Fields enlists in US Army

Madison Composite Squadron said farewell to Cadet First Lieutenant (C/1st Lt) Kendall Fields. He has enlisted in the United States Army and leaves for Fort Benning, GA, to train as an Infantry Paratrooper. He’s been a member for the past six years, most recently serving in the position as Cadet Commander. Coming from a military family, he says he’s always wanted to serve in the military, which was his motivation for joining CAP. He chose to serve in the Army because he believes that will be the best fit for his personality and interests. Cadet Fields credits Major Krenke and his experience on the Ground Team for teaching him skills that will be useful in the Army. He will miss the good times he had on the Ground Team, especially Ground Team Academy and other training events, along with stopping at China Buffet after missions. “I have learned many leadership skills and public speaking. I’ve also learned some customs and courtesies that will transfer to the Army.”
