Cadet NCO School educates next generation

Volk Field ANBG – More than 30 cadets from around the state gathered in November to increase their readiness to be leaders and hone the skills they will need to mentor new cadets joining CAP. The wing’s third annual Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer School provided these cadets with three days of education including classroom, hands-on, and drill.

Each student gave at least two speeches during the school in order to develop necessary skills related to teaching classes. Each student also had the chance to lead a flight in drill multiple times and to work in larger units on marching. Students also participated in classes that looked at how CAP’s Core Values play a role in the life of a cadet NCO and other topics.

This school marked the third iteration of the wing-sponsored event.
