Brown County Senior Squadron hold 75th Anniversary event

On Saturday, September 10, the Brown County Senior Squadron hosted an event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Civil Air Patrol. Members of the public and aviation community alike got up close to CAP aircraft, including Fox Cities Composite Squadron’s new glass-cockpit Cessna 182.
The event also featured over 30 scale model aircraft from the Green Bay Model Airplane Club, cadet demonstrations by FCCS, a sloppy joe lunch, flight simulators, giveaways and videos describing the history of CAP and our missions today.
The event was hosted in a hangar provided by Jet Air Group on the grounds of Austin Straubel International Airport (KGRB). 91.1FM The Avenue granted CAP with a radio promotion for the two weeks before the event giving the event a wide range of exposure to the public.
