April Commander’s Corner: ONE Civil Air Patrol
Civil Air Patrol has more than 56,000 members with over 1,500 units. We are a nationwide organization, but have ONE strategic plan we work towards supporting our three missions: Aerospace Education, Emergency Services and Cadet Programs. Squadrons, Wings and geographical boundaries don’t divide us; we are ONE Civil Air Patrol.
Wisconsin Wing is comprised of approximately 1,000 members and 34 units all working together as ONE “Wing of Excellence”. What does this mean? It means we are united, working as ONE, side by side as a team, treating each other with respect, kindness and patience. As we all begin to come together for this summer’s activities, let us work together as ONE team, encouraging and supporting each other as we train. We must reach out to other members and squadrons and share our expertise. We must venture outside our unit borders to expand our personal growth and development. Reaching out to others, working together, and truly caring about each other are the first steps in becoming ONE Civil Air Patrol.
Thank you for choosing to be on our Wisconsin Wing Team! I am the proudest wing commander in the nation.
