Civil Air Patrol

February Commander’s Corner: Join the celebration of our 75 years of service!

rose headshotCivil Air Patrol kicked off our 75th Anniversary during a reception on February 25, 2016 after a successful day on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. Hundreds of members from around the nation visited over 450 congressional members sharing Civil Air Patrol’s story.
Wisconsin Wing kicked off our celebration on March 2, 2016 at our state Capital in Madison. More than fifty members shared our CAP and WIWG story with our legislators successfully recruiting 15 new members for our Legislative Squadron. We also met with Governor Walker and received a proclamation celebrating Civil Air Patrol’s anniversary and great contributions. We are currently working on a CAP resolution naming December 2016, “Civil Air Patrol Month”.

We have a proud history of serving our country. Our members serve with pride, excellence and patriotism which makes Civil Air Patrol different from so many other organizations. To share our patriotism and recognize our history we will continue our 75th celebration at our wing conference April 15-17 in Racine. The conference is shaping up to be a great opportunity to learn new skills, progress in a specialty track, talk with old friends and meet new friends. There will be something for everyone to participate in at the conference so make your reservation soon and I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Racine!
