Units honor fallen veterans through Wreaths Across America

CAP members across the state spent December 12 honoring veterans at cemeteries throughout Wisconsin. CAP squadrons, along with other veterans and community organizations, participated in Wreaths Across America events. Wreaths Across America is a national non-profit that provides wreaths, via donations, to organizations that wish to honor fallen veterans. On December 17 organizations at cemeteries across the nation laid wreaths at veteran grave sites. More than 1,000 veteran graves were honored in Wisconsin this year, and nationally Wreaths Across America covered every grave site in Arlington National Cemetery. This year Wisconsin sites included the Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, the State Capitol Building, Green Bay, Union Grove, Marinette, and others.
