Aircrews needed for Precautionary Air Patrols, 17-27 July
REMINDER: We need aircraft w/crews for the EAA SAR Precautionary Air Patrols (PAP) running from 17 to 27 July. These patrols will normally be flown in the morning and afternoon. A flight schedule will be prepared listing primary and alternate aircraft & crews.
Alternate aircraft will be used if the primary is unable to fly sortie or if an additional aircraft is needed for other SAR tasking. Since PATRIOT 2015 overlaps the EAA SAR, exercise aircrews will act as alternates on some days and would be retasked from their assigned flights.
There will be other training missions open as well during this time frame. So if you get scheduled as an alternate and are not needed on the SAR mission, you will still be able to fly on PATRIOT or another training exercise.
In order to participate, units will register their aircraft & crews using this link.
Aircraft must have working CAP VHF radio and ELT DF. Registration without crew information will not be accepted. Different crews for the same aircraft will need to submit separate registration.
PAP flight schedule will be published on Monday, 5 July. WIWG has committed to support both the EAA SAR & PATRIOT 2015. If we don’t have enough support by that date, then we will use aircraft and crews from other wings will be used.
