MARCIA CRONCE – Meteorologist/Forecaster, National Weather Service

Presenting: Weather’s Impacts on Aviation

Marcia Cronce has worked as a meteorologist/forecaster at the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sullivan for 3 years. She began her career in the NWS in the Marquette, Michigan office in October 2005. She has a Bachelors degree in         Atmospheric Sciences from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and a Masters degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.

Besides forecasting, Marcia handles the aviation program in the office, which includes verification of aviation forecasts, establishing communication between the NWS office and local airports, and giving weather refresher presentations for airport operations and various aviation interest groups.

Ms. Cronce will be speaking this coming weekend at the 2012 WIWG Conference to be held at the Marriott Hotel in Waukesha.  For more information about this event, please visit the conference web page.
