Wisconsin Squadron receives $1,000 from Wisconsin Public Service Corporation

Green Bay, Wis. – The Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPS) in Green Bay presented a $1,000 check to Civil Air Patrol Brown County Senior Squadron on January 19.  The award was given for successfully participating in the 2011 Service Club Energy Challenge, sponsored by WPS.

In order to win the award, more than ten squadron members participated in a three month effort.  The goal was to reduce energy consumption in their homes or improve the heating efficiency by installing weatherization kits.  Brown County Senior Squadron commander, Dennis Klister (pictured left) accepted the check on behalf of the squadron.

Lynn Kroll, Community Relations Leader for WPS, thanked the squadron for taking part in the “energy challenge” and praised the squadron for its civic involvement and commitment to leading by example.

The Brown County Senior Squadron is meets the first and third Thursday of every month at the Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay.
